A bit of an experiment today shooting with a 2x converter on a 200-500 f/5.6 lens, resulting in max aperture of f/11. At f/11 the camera doesn't have the ability to provide fast auto focus, resulting in all these shots manually focussed. This resulted in many soft images and a fair bit of sharpening to get acceptable results.
